A graduate of the University of Limpopo (Medunsa Campus) with FCS (ORTH) and MMED (ORTH) from the College of Medicine and Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, Dr. Maelane holds the esteemed CIME (ABIME) qualification.
Dedicated to continuous improvement, Dr. Maelane is certified by the Arthroplasty Academy (Smith and Nephew) and achieved Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon status in 2016. In 2018, he opened Dr. S.P. Maelane Practice, with offices in Louise Pasteur Hospital and Botshilu Hospital, serving Pretoria North, Pretoria CBD, and Soweto/Sebokeng through LNS Orthopaedics.
